The Red Lion, High Street - Great selection of beers including local ales, cosy traditional atmosphere. The Railway Vue, Station Road - Next to the Busway. Good steak, and reasonable selection of beers. Restaurants: Histon Smokehouse serves a barbecue style menu, but check their opening hours. The Indian Ocean is a very pleasant Indian restaurant. The Histon Village Fryer on Station Road is an excellent takeaway for both fish & chips and chinese food. There are a wide range of excellent restaurants, pubs and bars in Cambridge and other surrounding villages.Local AttractionsHomefield Park right outside the door of the flat is very pleasant for some fresh air and birdsong. Histon village green has a duckpond and children's playground. Cambridge is a short drive, bus or cycle away.TrainsNearest train station: Cambridge North, 15-20 min cycle or 10 min taxi ride.Cambridge station is a bit further, around 20-30mins by taxi, allow extra time for traffic at peak times.BusesBus stops on Hereward Close or Station Road.
