The apartment is in the center of Leiden near the Breestraat and the Doezastraat. There is one large living room with high ceilings (4 meters), very large windows and a fully equipped kitchen. In the living room, there is a built-in loft with a double bed. There is also a bedroom, with a double bed and a bathroom with a washing machine and a dryer. Personal belongings of the owner will partly remain in the apartment due to the short rental period. There will be shelving space for the tenants. Utilities are included: water, gas, electricity, council taxes. Internet is also included.The rental period is dependent on the period that we will get permission from the owner / association. Minimum 6 months, but potentially up to 12 months. The owner of the building allows me to sublet the apartment in case of travel. We will make a contract that will be approved by them. It is not possible to register with the council at this address, you will be my guest and caretaker of my apartment. We would like to meet you to make sure all is ok ;) So we prefer people that are already in the Netherlands so we can meet and arrange contract and logistics. We know that there is a shortage of homes and apartments at the moment. Please dont get your hopes up too much, as we usually get hundreds of people interested (sorry!). I will pick someone based on what they write about themselves. Please let me know how long you are in the Netherlands and what your situation / work / study is. My preference is an international couple / single that is here for a while and will take care of my home. Its an older building so not everything is brand new. We sometimes have some ants, but no mosquitos. There is no dishwasher and no oven. No home sharing / parties please. This appartment only has one bedroom so its not suitable for two people that dont share a bedroom. This is a bright and sunny apartment that is not shared with anyone else.
