As of July 15, a room will become available in our monumental house on the Straalmanstraat. The room is 23 m2 in size and has been completely renovated and painted in the characteristic historical amber color, so it is not possible to paint it yourself. You have your own sink in the room. There is an intercom, internet and TV connection. You share the kitchen and bathroom with 4 fellow residents who are studying and have just started working. We keep the house very clean with a tight cleaning schedule and expect the new occupant to do the same. We mainly go our own way, but when we see each other in the kitchen we often have a chat, drink tea together or sometimes eat together. So we are looking for a spontaneous and sociable person, who also leads her own life. We have a comfortable communal kitchen. Attached to the kitchen is a very spacious balcony that is furnished as a living terrace with two sitting areas, an electric outdoor BBQ, outdoor table lamps, a herb box and birch tree. The toilet and shower/WC have been recently renovated. Washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave and oven are also shared. Some extra info about the room:The room is 23 m2 in size, located on the cooler west side on the 2nd floor, with a view of the garden. The interior has been completely renovated while retaining the characteristic attic atmosphere. For example, the walls are in the intense amber of around 1900, for a sunny and at the same time spiritual look. There is still the old wooden fireplace (original 1896), a 1930s chimney mirror and an old 'oeil de boeuf' wall mirror, against which a modern interior comes in handy. There is room in the room to seclude a sleeping area. A large wardrobe also serves as a partition. Various ceiling spotlights can be dimmed independently of each other to create an atmosphere of your choice. Preference is given to a male housemate (22-24 years old) who is already a bit further along in his studies or is working. Someone too, who feels at home in the historical style (because you can't paint over!). So are you quiet, tidy, do you have no pets, do you not smoke and do you see yourself living with us?
