The area has retained much of its historical charm, with remnants of the old village still visible. In this quaint Rotterdam district, you will find special boutiques, interior design shops, a bakery, wine shops, sunny terraces , a childrens shop, hairdressers, beauty salons, a pet shop and everything for your daily shopping. You can enjoy coffee, delicious food and drinks in one of the cafés. The apartment also is close to the ‘Oude Noorden’, a very nice and vibrant area with many restaurants, bars and shops
Public transport is nearby: tram 4 and 8 take you straight to the city center, train station Rotterdam Noord is around the corner and the highway A20 is also nearby.
By bike you can reach the city center in 10 minutes.
Lay out
Ground floor: the house was built in 1924; details from this era are then visible as at the beautiful front door (with letterbox) with stained glass above. Stairs lead to the 2nd floor; the entrance to the apartment.
2nd floor: we first emerge onto the beautiful landing; be sure to note the stunning cast-iron detail of the staircase and the glass in foliage in the doors. Through the door, we enter the spacious and beautiful living room, where there is a sofa, a TV with cabinet, beautiful reading chairs and a very nice old blanket art that serves as a coffee table. Thanks to the large window in the corner bay, plenty of daylight enters. Another beautiful detail in the living room is a wooden barrel with a globe on top.
Adjacent to this area is a spacious dining table that seats 6. Be sure to note the long hanging above the table; very decorative! Between the living room and dining area, there is furniture such as an open bookcase, wine rack and an antique wooden cupboard; ideal for storing your personal belongings or crockery.
Next to the dining area is a sofa; ideal for reading books or enjoying your morning coffee here. Through sliding doors, you can access the beautiful, spacious balcony. This is also very nicely furnished; a nice outdoor set; a nice bistro set and coffee table (note the colorful tiles) and there is also an antique cupboard; ideal for storing your gardening utensils, for example. Back inside, we arrive in the timelessly well-equipped modern kitchen; it has a gas hob with extractor hood above it, oven, mircrowave, a spacious fridge-freezer, a coffee machine and the kitchen has plenty of cupboards and drawers to store your kitchen utensils. Also on this level, there is another room set up as a home office with a desk and wall cabinets.
From the landing you can reach the toilet.
On the third floor, we first emerge onto a landing that provides access to the master bedroom. This is very generous in terms of space; there is a king-size bed with bedside tables, a chest of drawers with a TV on top and a very spacious wall cupboard for your clothes.
