All while being just 5 minutes away from Ironbridge.The Iron House Apartments have been created by Peter & Kieran Gwilt on the site of the historic "E Davis & Son Ironmongers."The spaceWe're very excited to welcome guests to our Iron House Apartments - James' Place!The apartment has been recently renovated and we have aimed to keep the history of the building alive, treasure it, if you will.As you enter the apartment it is in an open plan design, allowing lots of light to flow into all areas of the apartment.Your kitchen features many amenities, electric oven and hob, fridge with small freezer and washer-dryer.Smaller appliances include a microwave, toaster, kettle, and Tassimo coffee machine.There is a dining table that seats up to 4 people in the kitchen/dining area, great for socialising while you cookThe lounge naturally flows from the kitchen/dining area and features a smart TV. You are welcome to use Netflix and other streaming apps, if you have accounts for these.There is a sofa bed in the lounge, this can be made up to sleep two people in a double bed formation.The bedroom features a lovely king-sized bed, complimented with bed side tables and lamps.There is a shower room, with a double headed shower (rain or standard head - your choice!), wc and basin.We encourage you to enjoy the outdoor space. It is shared with other guests within the Broseley Hardware Store & The Iron House Apartments so an opportunity to socialise should you so wish!Why is it called James' Place?The ironmongery shop was originally owned and run by an Edwin Davis, it was then passed on to his son Walter. Walter, however, had no children and on his death it was left to the person who had been helping him run it – James William Hurdley. It is his son, also James, who ran the store with his family.The apartment itself is all on one level. There is one small step up to the apartment.We provide complimentary tea and coffee, as well as travel sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap. Other items provided during your stay are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll. These should last a couple of days. If more is needed, there is a paper shop next door for essentials open every day and Spar is 100yds away.Dogs are allowed in the apartment, there is a small charge of £10 per dog.Guest accessGuests will have full access to all of the apartment. The garden is shared with other guests.Other things to noteCHECK IN / CHECK OUTCheck-in time is after 4 pm and check-out time is before 10 am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule.EV CHARGING:There are four EV charging points at the library, which 4 minutes walk away.Please note: There are other guests within the building and we kindly ask that you are respectful when moving around and close doors quietly.
