About this space The property is a spacious one-bedroom home on the first floor with elevated aspects over the centre of the town. It is built of local honey-colored stone with deep sash windows and dates from the late Georgian era. The property can sleep three, with one king sized bed, and a quality sofa bed in the living room. PLEASE note the sofa bed is available on request and there is a a small charge for the extra bedding.The spaceThe property has been recently renovated throughout and is set out mainly over one level and accessed from the High Street via a private entrance hall with staircase.It comprises a charming double aspect living room open to a well fitted kitchen with integrated appliances and shaker style cupboards and drawers with breakfast bar and Travertine tiling.There is a double bedroom with king size bed, fitted wardrobe and a beautifully appointed bathroom with shower over the bath and Travertine tiling. I provide hotel quality crisp cotton sheets, fluffy towels for each guest and complementary toiletries.Well behaved pets are welcome on request only. Please give details at time of booking, to enable us to determine if suitable for the property. There is an additional fee of £30 per pet.Please no smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property.PLEASE NOTE: The sofabed is available on request, so I can ensure sufficient fresh linen and towels are in the property, and there is a small charge for the extra bedding.CHECK INCheck in time is from 3pm but we will try to let you get into the property sooner, if requested. It just depends if we have guests staying the night before. Please try to give as much notice as possible with your arrival time and update on the day with any changes / delays.CHECK OUTCheck out is 11am, so we can get the property ready for our next guests.Other things to noteThere is a sofa bed in the living room that can sleep 1 adult or child. Available on request and a small charge for the extra bedding.Nearest SupermarketTesco Express is a few doors down the High Street (exit flat right)The bigger Coop Supermarket with Cook! instore is at the far end of the High Street – 5 minute walk north (exit flat left). For cheese lovers, you have to visit the Cotswold Cheese Co which is further along the street from Tesco Express.Local attractionsBatsford Arboretum and Falconry Centre is a 30 minute walk (or 5 minute drive). The footpath starts on Hospital Road directly opposite the end of Corder’s Lane. Nice Café and Gardens. Country houses and gardens are close by including Sezincote, Bourton House Garden, Snowshill Manor & Garden and Chastleton (both National Trust). All of the popular picturesque honey-coloured towns and villages including Broadway, Chipping Camden, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are a short drive or bus journey away. Tourist Information is in the Cotswold District Council office directly opposite the flat.RestaurantsThere are an array pubs and restaurants up and down the High Street offering a range of different cuisines. We can recommend the fish and chips at The White Hart Royal Hotel and The Manor House Hotel has a lovely garden for al fresco dining. Yellow Brick located in the shopping arcade is very popular and great value. For pizza and pasta lovers, there is ASK Italian, and for curry lovers you’ve got a choice of great Indian restaurants. If you are looking for something extra special you can try the Michelin rated tasting menu at Henne (where Prue Leith was a recent visitor!), or there’s Scenic Suppers in Todenham (10 minute drive) where you can dine in your own private greenhouse with far reaching views of the Cotswolds! There are also a number of independent coffee shops and tea rooms in Moreton. Victoria’s (downstairs below the flat) serves great coffee and nice lunches. Otis & Belle Bakery opposite the flat do a great sour dough loaf for your morning toast and huge cinnamon buns! There are several traditional tea rooms too!BusesRegular bus services to local destinations operate from the High Street near to the flat. Bus stop is a 2 minute walk the other side of the mini roundabout (exit flat right). Main services are:1/2/2A – to Stratford-upon-Avon (calls at Blockley, Broadway, Chipping Camden)801 – to Cheltenham (calls at Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water)Please check local services and times. Free street parking is available just outside the flat. You can park on the single yellow line all day, every day, apart from Tuesdays which is market day.There is alternative free parking on Hospital Road which runs parallel to the High Street. There is also pay and display parking at the Old Market Way Car Park which can be found through the shopping arcade on the other side of the High Street. You can leave your car there for 10 hours for £2.70 (as of August 2022).
